Correction: Intelligence-Nomination story
WASHINGTON — In an Aug. 5 story about Senate action on the nomination of James R. Clapper as director of national intelligence, The Associated Press erroneously reported that Sen. Kit Bond, R-Mo., lifted a hold on the nomination. A hold was placed and later lifted by Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla.
