Armed dacoits rob train in Bihar, 13 injured

PATNA - At least thirteen people, including a Government Railway Police (GRP) jawan, were injured when over 50 armed dacoits stormed into the air conditioned coaches of a Delhi-bound express train in Bihar and robbed the passengers at gun point this morning.

The Howrah- Delhi Lal Quila Express was on its way to Delhi when the incident happened between the Bansipur and Bhalui Railway Stations in Bihar’s Lakhisarai District.

Passengers who resisted were beaten up and looted of cash and other valuables worth Rs two lakh.

The injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals.

A case has been registered with the Government Railway Police. (ANI)
