Tehrik-i-Taliban claims responsibility for killing Ghayoor in Peshawar blast

ISLAMABAD - Tehrik-i-Taliban on Wednesday claimed responsibility for carrying out the Peshawar suicide blast and killing Pakistan Frontier Constabulary chief, Sifwat Ghayoor which was their target.
The group also threatened more such assassinations.
“We killed him, he was our target… all such officers who are active against us will suffer the same fate,” Azam Tariq, a spokesman for Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.
“He was conducting different operations against us…one of our fidayeen (suicide attackers) has done this job,” he added.t was unclear whether the suicide bomber attacked on foot or was in a vehicle.
The explosion, which took place near Peshawar’s FC Chowk area, also destroyed 19 cars.
The epicenter of the chowk was the Saddar area. (ANI)
