Mercedes-Benz US sales rise 11.2 percent in July
NEW YORK — Mercedez-Benz USA said Tuesday that U.S. sales of its cars and vans rose 11.2 percent last month from July of last year.
BY THE NUMBERS: Mercedes-Benz sold 18,048 in the U.S. in July, up from 16,228 in July of 2009.
TOP SELLERS: The 9th generation E-Class, introduced last spring, posted the highest number of sales at 5,462. But sales were down 1.7 percent for the model from July of last year.
HOT MODELS: The R-Class crossover increased nearly nine times to 314 from 36 last year.
