Japanese Martial Art expert Shimabukuro visits Kochi to inspire youth

KOCHI - Japanese Martial Art Master Hanshi Zenpo Shimabukuro, holder of the 10th Dan Red Belt, the highest ranking in the world of martial arts, is in India to inspire and encourage youngsters to join martial arts.

On Sunday, Master Hanshi Zenpo Shimabukuro arrived in Kochi city of Kerala.

The Master is on a weeklong tour to Kerala, as part of a major campaign on behalf of the Budo Academy, a modern martial arts centre, to encourage youngsters to take to martial arts as part of their daily life.

During the demonstration sessions, Sensei J Measara, 8th Dan Kobudo and Aikido from Germany and Sensei Anatoly from Russia fascinated everyone’s attention, as they demonstrated three forms of martial arts.

The Budo academy will conduct special weekend training for schoolchildren and evening sessions for working people. By Juhan Samuel (ANI)
