Digi says it has closed gift policy inquiry
MINNEAPOLIS — Networking equipment maker Digi International Inc. said Monday it has closed its investigation of possible gift, travel and entertainment policy violations by some of its employees in Asia and doesn’t expect any enforcement proceedings or fines against the company.
Digi said it had voluntarily disclosed allegations of possible violations to the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Justice.
Neither agency plans enforcement proceedings or monetary or other sanctions as a result, Digi said.
The company said it was strengthening its monitoring controls over foreign locations as well as regulatory compliance procedures.
But it said it won’t need to restate its finances and it doesn’t know of any “material impact” on its financial statements.
Shares rose 54 cents, or 4.1 percent, to $8.65 in morning trading Monday. The stock has traded in the 52-week range of $6.99 and $12.32.
