LONDON - American actor Steven Seagal has been granted a temporary restraining order against an alleged female stalker.

The woman allegedly attacked one of Seagal’s employees while trying to enter his house.

The Under Siege actor requested for a protective order against Angela Rain Bates, who was arrested at his home in Los Angeles on July 14 2010.

According to court papers, the 55-year-old woman allegedly attacked Seagal’s groundskeeper by “forcefully kicking him twice, in the groin, and on his shin, causing a two-inch contusion on his leg” before she threw rocks on Seagal’s window, reports The Daily Express.

The woman was charged with battery, vandalism and trespassing. She is currently in jail waiting for a trial date, according to TMZ.com.

It is reported that Bates had told the police that she was married to Seagal’s father, who is deceased, and had lived in the house for 20 years.

According to the restraining order that was granted at the Los Angeles Superior Court, Bates has to stay 100 yards away from the 58-year-old actor, his family and the groundskeeper. (ANI)
