LONDON - A door and window company has been forced to take down an ad that says ‘we sell big knockers’.

The ad by Tricketts of Merthyr Tydfil in South Wales showed the woman’s breasts discreetly covered by a pair of doorknockers.

An Advertising Standards Agency report said that a woman had complained that the ad was offensive.

“Tricketts said the poster had been on display for a little over two months and in that time they received positive feedback from customers, who believed the poster was humorous,” The Telegraph quoted the report as saying.

“They said they had received only one complaint and therefore did not believe the poster was demeaning to women or likely to cause offence to the general public,” the report added.

The report went on to say that there was no resemblance of the image to the actual products and that it breached clauses related to taste and decency.

“The poster must not appear again in its current form,” it concluded. (ANI)
