LONDON - Sarah Palin had an encounter with a brown bear while she was on a fishing expedition in Alaska.

Palin saw a mother bear with her cubs during her salmon fishing expedition in Alaska, reports the Telegraph.he 46-year-old politician was on a boat with her husband, Todd, their nine-year-old daughter, Piper, and friends in Wolverine Creek when the bears emerged from the trees.

Palin and the bear saw eye to eye before the animal wandered off with her cubs leaving the Palins looking stunned.

Wolverine Creek is a popular destination for bear watchers where they often come within a few feet of anglers’ boats.

Palin’s latest campaign-style video, released on the Internet earlier in July 2010, warned Washington to watch out for angry ‘mama grizzlies’ who are ready to ‘get our country back on the right track’. (ANI)
