Brooks Brothers, Levi’s create jeans collection
NEW YORK — Two iconic American brands are getting hitched.
Brooks Brothers and Levi Strauss & Co.’s Levi’s brand announced Thursday that they have created a new collection of men’s jeans selling at the clothier’s stores and online starting Thursday.
The pants — formally called Levi’s Jeans, made in the USA for Brooks Brothers — come in a variety of finishes and washes and sell for $148. They will be made in Los Angeles using imported materials, company officials said in a statement release.
“For generations, nothing has conveyed the image of iconic American style more than a pair of Levi’s jeans worn with a Brooks Brothers button-down shirt,” Brooks Brothers’ chief merchandising officer, Lou Amendola, said in the statement.
He called the jeans timeless.
