LONDON - A 40-year-old Chinese man, who measures 2 feet and 6 inches, is standing for the title of the World’s Smallest Man.

After former record holder He Pingping died, Huang Kaiquan, from Hejiang County, Sichuan province is vying for the title.

He Pingping was the world’s smallest man until his death in March 2010.

Huang, locally known as ’short brother’ is only 1.4cm taller than Pingping.

He weighs just 12kg, the same as a three-year-old would weigh.

Former actor Huang, who retired at the age of 30 after falling ill, lives with his 58-year-old mother in southwest China’s Sichuan province.

“He’s not so heavy, he’s actually lighter now that he’s getting older,” the Daily Mail quoted his mother Cheng Fuxiu as saying. (ANI)
