PABBI - Pakistani politician Iftikhar Hussain, whose only son was assassinated last week, has vowed to continue his fight against terrorists and terrorist groups, calling them enemies of humanity.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Hussain’s son Rashid Hussain was killed by Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants on Saturday.

Rashid was later laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Pabbi amid tight security.

“I will sacrifice 10 more sons for the country and the humanity’s survival, but I will not stop the jihad against the enemies of humanity,” The Daily Times quoted Hussain, as saying.

“This is not a personal fight (against the Taliban). This is for the sake of the country, this is the fight for humanity. Pro-humanity forces should get united against the enemies of humanity,” he added.

He further said that the loss of his son did not cause any setback to his morale.

“We have to be united against the common enemy,” he added.

For the past two years, Iftikhar had been receiving death threats from militants for his outspoken opposition to terrorism. (ANI)
