LUDHIANA - The police recovered 21 magazines of AK-47 and ample quantity of bullets from a canal near Gurudwara Rara Sahib in Punjab’s Ludhiana city.

Jaswant Singh, an eyewitness, while talking to the media recalled how these were discovered.

“I was searching for metal items like iron when the children were hurt by something made of iron. I told them that they were arms after which they ran away. We reported to the media about it, who later informed about it to the police,” said Jaswant Singh.

The recovery came a day after a Pakistani national accused of spying was arrested in Punjab.

The accused, identified as Nizam Bakash, is a resident of Pakistan’s Punjab District, and was staying in India under an assumed name Sandeep Singh. (ANI)
