Former President Kalam asks youths to work for progress

BHUJ - Former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on Saturday urged the youth to work for peace and progress of the nation.

In his address at the first convocation ceremony of the Kutch University here, Kalam stressed the need to percolate the fruits of development into the rural India and reduce illiteracy and inadequate health and hygiene systems.

Gujarat Governor and Chancellor of the University Dr Kamala later addressing the students said education is the base of the progress of any society or the nation.

Over 40 students were awarded gold medal for their achievements on the occasion. (ANI)
