LONDON - A British couple’s wedding has been described as a “nightmare from hell” after a series of mishaps took place one after another.

Vilma and Paul Cassidy’s “unluckiest wedding in history” started off while the 30-year-old bride was getting ready at home with her bridal party, and her 16-month-old pageboy, Kenzie, suddenly started to fit.

“His eyes rolled. He went blue in a second,” the Sun quoted Vilma as saying.

Kenzie, who is Paul’s niece’s son, was resuscitated by his grandma before he was rushed to hospital by ambulance.

Then the same paramedics turned up again after the vows when 50-year-old Paul’s mum Christina, 76, collapsed outside St Mary’s Church in Melton Mowbray, Leics.

She was taken to hospital with suspected low blood pressure.

Then a couple of minutes later a close pal of the couple got a text saying that her father had just died.

“It must have been one of the unluckiest weddings in history. We just thought, ‘What more could go wrong?’” Paul said.

Just as they started enjoying the reception, their 18-month-old son Chris and sister Saida, seven, banged into each other, cutting their heads open.

After the kids were patched up, the reception continued and ended happily.

Now Paul and Vilma are looking forward to an autumn honeymoon in America.

“The day was half nightmare, half brilliant,” Vilma stated. (ANI)
