16 killed, four injured in FATA ambush

ISLAMABAD - Unidentified gunmen opened fire at a caravan moving along with a military convoy in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) Kurram Agency on Saturday killing at least 16 people.
Four persons were injured in the ambush, The Nation reports.
According to reports, the caravan was going to Peshawar from Upper Kurram along with the security forces’ convoy, when some unknown felons opened fire at them near Char Khel, Upper Kurram.
A couple of vehicles have also been damaged in the attack.
All the injured have been shifted to a local hospital, where condition of some is stated to be critical.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to nab the attackers. (ANI)
