LUCKNOW - Samajwadi party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav in a written letter to the Muslim community, regretted his mistake for joining hands with Kalyan Singh on Thursday.

Kalyan Singh was Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister when Babri demolition took place in 1992. He was seen as the Hindutva face of the BJP. Kalyan Singh quits the BJP in 2009.

Reportedly, in his letter, Mulayam Singh affirmed that he did a mistake in past after taking support of those who are ‘responsible’ for the Babri Masjid demolition.

Mulayam Yadav also admitted that in previous Lok Sabha elections, he took support of some doubtful seculars and that has confused the Muslim community and they got hurt.

He further mentioned in the letter that he would never repeat it again and will continue to raise voice in favour of Muslim community in future.

Reacting at Mulyam Singh’s statement Kalyan Singh said that Mulayam is shedding crocodile’s tears to seek Muslim votes before the upcoming elections. (ANI)
