LONDON - A shopping center is installing “squat toilets” for Asian customers in a bid to raise cultural awareness.

According to The Sun, two of the 200-pound loos, which users crouch over rather than sit on, are being put in alongside traditional loos.

The hole-in-the-ground toilets, sometimes known as Nile pans, are being installed in both the ladies’ and gents’ at the Exchange Center in Rochdale, Greater Manchester.

They are usually despised by British tourists abroad. But center bosses decided to include them after learning that members of the Asian community prefer them as more hygienic. (ANI)
