WASHINGTON (GaeaTimes.com)- World Wildlife Fund has introduced texting to save tigers from extinction. With this texting project World Wildlife Fund is aiming to encourage people to shoot text from their mobile phones and raise a combined effort to take steps and preserve the species on this earth.
The Wildlife Fund has alloted a minimum contribution of $10 as donation which will be generated by each and every text message. As a matter of fact, only 3,200 tigers are left on this planet which is a sharp downfall from the total number of 100,000 when it was one of the most dominant species. It was said that World Wildlife Fund has plans to double the current population by the upcoming year of 2022.
“My Name is Earl” star Ethan Suplee has joined hands with World Wildlife Fund to make this project a successful one. He was the one who launched the testing project for the Wildlife Fund. Reportedly, this is the very first time when World Wildlife Fund has come forward with the idea of texting to help save and protect tigers. All fundraising through this project shall be handed over to the World Wildlife Fund to use it wisely.
World Wildlife Fund has also launched a similar campaign in popular social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter and have called upon one and all to support the noble cause. Users of Facebook can add World Wildlife Fund application which allow them to add tiger masks and tiger stripes along with paw prints in their profile. World Wildlife Fund is aiming to preserve the species diversity and create an environ for the tigers which shall make them fight the climate changes and survive.
