ISLAMABAD - Balochistan Youth Affairs Minister Abdul Khaliq Achakzai has said that the majority of youths in his province are pro-Pakistan.

Achakzai stressed that the provincial government, as well as his ministry, was following a multi-pronged strategy to bring the angry Baloch youth back to the mainstream.

He said that the youngsters were being sent on ‘See Pakistan Visits’ and also to friendly countries, including China and Korea, to provide them a break from their routines.

To back his view, the Youth Affairs Minister noted that youngsters were showing good results in education and sports activities, and were being awarded cash prizes and other incentives to help promote healthy activities in the province.

Achakzai further claimed that the picture being presented about Balochistan in the media was exaggerated.

“A positive development in my province hardly gets space in newspapers and time on channels, but unfortunately, a statement of even an insignificant person, who talks of an independent Balochistan, is flashed on the media,” The News quoted Achakzai, as saying. (ANI)
