|Capello is all set to shake up his backroom staff|Sports[London{LONDON - England coach Fabio Capello is all set to shake up his backroom staff following his team’s World Cup disaster.
The big losers in the new set-up could be Stuart Pearce and Ray Clemence, the two most prominent Englishmen in the current regime.
Capello will come out fighting after the debacle in South Africa and his demands are likely to include adding even more Italians to his support team and the introduction of a winter break to the English football calendar, News of the World reports.
Sources close to Capello say former Italy internationals Walter Zenga and Mauro Tassotti are strong candidates for roles with England.
Tassotti, who played under Capello during his first stint as AC Milan manager and is an assistant at the San Siro, would come in as a defensive coach to help fill the gaping holes, which appeared in England’s rearguard during the World Cup.
And Zenga, currently manager of Saudi Arabia side Al-Nassr, would make the goalkeeping department rather crowded, with Franco Tancredi already working alongside Clemence, News of the World reports. (ANI)
