Axis Capital unit opens offices in UK, Ireland
LONDON — Axis Global Accident & Health, a division of Axis Capital Holdings Ltd., said it opened offices in Dublin and London to sell its reinsurance products internationally.
The company also said Thursday that Paul Chapman will lead its international market expansion from its London office. Chapman was given the title of CEO of International Accident & Health operations.
Axis Global said it plans to expand its insurance operations to the European, Canadian, Australian and Asian markets.
Before joining Axis Global, Chapman worked at the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies for 18 years and most recently served as the head of personal insurance at Chubb Insurance Company of Europe.
Shares of Axis Capital Holdings rose 58 cents to $31.62 in afternoon trading Friday.
