LONDON - A 480-year-old hardware store in Britain is being shut down.
Gill and Co was the country’s first ironmonger when it opened in Oxford in 1530 - while Henry VIII was still married to first wife Catherine of Aragon.
Owner Victor Hunt, 48, said he’s lost customers to out-of-town DIY superstores.
“It’s the end of an era, ” the Sun quoted Hunt as saying. (ANI)
