Southern Naval Commander Jamwal killed in firing

KOCHI - Southern Naval Command chief Rear Admiral SS Jamwal was today killed in a firing incident at INS Dronacharya in Kochi.

“I regret to inform that Rear Admiral SS Jamwal, Chief Of Straff, Southern Naval Command died in an accidental firing at INS Dronacharya, in the forenoon hours today,” said a statement issued by the Navy.

“The circumstances leading to the accidental firing are being investigated,” it added.

Rear Admiral Jamwal (51) is suvived by Geeta Jamwal (wife) and two children. (ANI)
