ISLAMABAD - The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) destroyed two more primary schools in Khar District of Bajaur Agency in the restive Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on Tuesday.
Extremists blasted the school building destroying it completely, Xinhua reported.
So far, more than 88 schools have been destroyed in the Bajaur region, which borders Afghanistan.
Earlier this month, a girls’ school and a health centre was razed by Taliban insurgents in the Khushal Kally area of the Mohmand Agency.
The Talibani militants have destroyed hundreds of schools, mostly for girls, in the troubled tribal regions in Pakistan’s north-western region in the past few months.
Over 200 girls schools have been destroyed in the Swat valley in the last two years since the Taliban’s uprising to enforce the Islamic ’sharia’ law in the region. (ANI)
