LONDON - A schoolgirl broke through heavy security around Tiger Woods to get her hero’s autograph during a rare public outing.
According to The Sun, six-year-old Ava Mulhall, barged into the boundary fencing and ran on to a fairway after the golfer.
Woods was playing the eighth hole at Limerick’s exclusive Adare Manor course as part of a celebrity Pro-Am organised by Irish’s tycoon JP McManus.
Ava, who has been playing golf for over a year, has already had her card signed by 19 other big-name players.
After bagging Tiger’s autograph, she said: “I’m delighted and I’m very proud,” the paper quoted Ava, as saying after getting Wood’s autograph.
The girl’s father said that he gave his daughter a little advice before she breached the security lines.
“I told her to run like hell, smile politely and say ‘thank you’,” he said. (ANI)
