LONDON - Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has issued a commentary accusing South Korea of joining the Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI) interception exercise on the sea.

According to English.news.cn, the article said such a military maneuver would push the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the edge of ‘a nuclear war’, disturbing peace and stability in Northeast Asia.

The article also stated that the exercises were a joint military operation between the United States and South Korea aimed at preparing for an aggressive war against the DPRK.

The commentary further said that it is an important mission and urgent issue for the DPRK to block the aggressive move of the United States and South Korea to defend peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, Asia and the whole world as a whole.

The PSI was put forward by the then Bush Administration of the U.S. in 2003. South Korea decided to join the PSI in May 2009. (ANI)
