NEW YORK - Jaycee Lee Dugard, the woman who was kidnapped at age 11 and was turned into a sex slave by her abductor, will get 20 million dollars for the 18 years she lost in captivity.

Dugard will be getting about a million dollars for every year she lost when she was kidnapped by paroled sex offender Phillip Craig Garrido.

California lawmakers approved the settlement for Dugard, who was snatched while walking to a bus stop at age 11 and turned into a sex slave by Garrido, reports the New York Daily News.

Now 30, Dugard bore two daughters by the religious nut who held them captive in a compound in the backyard of his Antioch, Ca., home- right under the noses of local cops.

Dugard filed a claim charging she might have been rescued sooner if state corrections officials had done their jobs and searched Garrido’s compound.

Last August, she was rescued after “Creepy Phil” brought her and the girls with him to the University of California, Berkeley, where he sought to pass out religious material.

A suspicious staffer discovered Garrido was on lifetime parole for a 1971 kidnapping and rape and called his parole officer.

The officer told the staffer that he wasn’t aware Garrido had any daughters, and that is when the alarm was raised.

Garrido and his wife, Nancy, have pleaded not guilty to charges that they kidnapped and raped Dugard. (ANI)
