Two Maoist leaders killed in Andhra Pradesh encounter

HYDERABAD - Two Maoist leaders were killed in an encounter in Andhra Pradesh’s Adilabad district early this morning.

According to sources, the Maoist leaders were shot dead by the police in an exchange of fire between Veligi and Sarkepally forest area, about 120 km from here.

One of the militants has been identified as C Rajakumar, alias Azad, who was one of the spokespersons of the Maoists in north Telangana.

An AK 47 and some small fire arms have been found at the encounter site.
