LONDON - The Russian ‘under cover’ agent in US, Anna Chapman, has been revealed to be the daughter of a Russian top diplomat.

Her father, Vasily Kuschenko was in the Russian Embassy in Kenya when she was a child, giving her an early taste for travel.

However, the Russian Foreign ministry refused to entertain any discussions about Vasily or his career.

According to The Sun, much of his work was carried out undercover. Vasily and his wife Irina, 51, now live in a block of flats in Moscow set aside for diplomats.

The 28-year-old- Anna Kuschenko Chapman had married a British she met in Moscow. Later, she moved to South Kensington in West London in 2004 and worked for Barclays and a private jet company. She moved to the US in February, the paper reported.

Anna and nine other accused in the operation are in custody now. (ANI)
