SAN FRANCISCO (GaeaTimes.com)- On July 4, the Shelter Islands will be one of the biggest hot-spots of the nation as the fireworks of the 10th Annual Port Of San Diego Big Bay Boom will be visible from all the northern and central parks of the San Diego Bay area. Around 75000 enthusiasts are expected to turn up for the artistic pyrotechnic light show. Four barges have been placed in the surrounding area that will allow a perfect view for the audience gathered at the parks. This year an additional display will be visible that will take place from the Imperial Beach pier on the Imperial Beach ocean front.

The fireworks are expected to begin simultaneously from all the 5 points at 9 pm on July 4. The enthusiasts for the Shelter Island display will be picked up by the Old Town Trolley from Point Loma. They will be dropped at the gazebo in Shelter Island. The passengers will again be picked up from the same point after the end of the display. The last shuttle is expected to leave at 11 pm. The event is sponsored by the Port of San Diego and was established in 2001 to benefit the San Diego Armed Services YMCA. Other sponsors include the Manchester Grand Hyatt and the Imperial Beach Chamber of Commerce.
