LA rave promoter promises review after teen death
LOS ANGELES — The promoter of a giant weekend rave at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum says it is reviewing the event following the suspected overdose death of a 15-year-old girl and dozens of injuries at the party.
In a brief statement issued Wednesday, Insomniac Inc. extended its condolences to the family of the girl
She was among an estimated 185,000 people attending the 14th annual Electric Daisy Festival. The event was supposed to be limited to people 16 and older.
More than 100 other people were taken to hospitals for treatment of injuries.
The two-day festival, which began Friday, featured carnival rides, light shows and appearances by numerous performers including Moby and Will.I.Am.
