Kashmiris should decide Kashmir’s fate: Qureshi

ISLAMABAD - Singing the jaded Kashmir tune once again, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the decades old issue should be resolved according to the wishes of Kashmiris.
Interacting with media persons in Multan, Qureshi said Kashmiris must be allowed to present what kind of solution they want for the long pending issue.
Responding to a question, he said terrorism was not an issue which has affected only Pakistan and India, but it has also disturbed the world at large.
“The menace can not be eradiated through blame game and a joint effort and strategy was vital for its elimination,” The Dawn quoted Qureshi, as saying.
Commenting on the lingering river water sharing issue between India and Pakistan, he said if things are not resolved through bi-lateral negotiations then Islamabad would raise the issue before a ‘third party.’
Qureshi also negated the possibility of any mid-term polls, saying that the country’s ‘political climate was calm’. (ANI)
