Zardari, Musharraf worked together in ‘harmony’: Sharif

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif has accused President Asif Ali Zardari of according a safe passage to former President Pervez Musharraf, and said that both worked together ‘in harmony’.
Addressing a public gathering in Sialkot, Sharif said people want action against all those who had violated country’s Constitution, and that the dictators ’should be dragged to the dock’.
“We noticed harmony between Former President Pervez Musharraf and President Zardari; hence, the former was accorded the safe exit abroad,” The News quoted Sharif, as saying.
He added that the judiciary should take suo motu notice of such issues.
“People responsible for the wrongdoings and injustices should be brought before the courts,” Sharif said.
The former Prime Minister also rejected the notion that the PML-N was playing a role of ‘friendly opposition’.
“Had we been a friendly opposition, there would not have been any long march. It was lawyers who finalized the date for Long March, which we supported and helped the reinstatement of the judges,” Sharif said. (ANI)
