New Jersey town considering a topless beach
ASBURY PARK, N.J. — A New Jersey town that once was among the top seaside resorts on the East Coast is trying to keep abreast of vacationers’ changing tastes. It’s considering letting women go topless on one of its beaches.
But unlike other, secluded nude beaches in the Garden State, this one could be right in your face. The boardwalk offers a prime view.
The City Council is considering a request from local yoga studio owner Reggie Flimlin to allow women to decide for themselves whether they want to wear tops on the beach.
But some worry the let-it-all-hang-out attitude might scare away families that are finally returning to the struggling town.
