Pakistan to probe firing incident at Indian camp in Liberia

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan has ordered a probe into the alleged firing by one of its officers at an Indian paramilitary camp, which is part of the UN Peacekeeping Mission in violence-hit Liberia, an army spokesman said.
Commenting on media reports regarding the incident, the spokesman of the Pakistan army said there was no casualty in the incident and all the facts would be exposed once the enquiry is completed, the Online news agency reported Wednesday.
According to reports, the incident took place June 8 in Zwedru, the capital of Grand Gedeh County in the West African country, when a Pakistan army officer opened fire at a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp.
Meanwhile, the UN too has begun a probe into the incident.
A Pakistani army battalion is also posted in Zwedru.
