ISLAMABAD - Pakistan would be releasing 17 Indian prisoners at the Wagah border on Wednesday (today).

According to a statement released by the Foreign Office (FO), the move to release Indian prisoners can be seen as Islamabad’s goodwill gesture just ahead of the foreign secretary level talks between both countries.

Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao would be landing in Islamabad today (June 23) to hold talks with her Pakistani counterpart Salman Bashir.

The meeting, which would be held on June 24, aims to set the agenda for a meeting between the foreign ministers of the two neighbouring nations scheduled be held on July 15. (ANI)
