Ranchi, June 22 (ANI): A forensic report of handwritings of Delhi journalist Nirupama Pathak, who was found dead in her Jharkhand home said that the suicide note was written by her.

The Jharkhand Police have submitted the Forensic Science Laboratory report of handwritings of Nirupama to a Koderma court.

Earlier, police had sent the suicide note to Forensic Science Laboratory, Kolkata for examination.

Nirupama’s mother Sudha’s lawyer Arun Mishra said that the forensic report, which has been submitted in the court, says that the handwriting on the suicide note was that of Nirupama.

Sudha was arrested on May 3 on charges of killing Nirupama.

The family insists that Nirupama committed suicide but her boyfriend Priyabhanshu Ranjan alleged that she was killed by her family members who were against their relationship.

On June 9, while hearing Sudha’s bail petition the court directed the police to produce the forensic report and case diary of the case on June 23.

However, investigation’s yet to conclude whether Nirupama committed suicide or she was murdered. (ANI)
