Automobile parts exhibition in Chennai

CHENNAI - A five-day exhibition showcasing various tools and innovations made in the automobile sector concluded here on Monday.

Sixty-five countries and 428 exhibitors participated in the Auto Components and Machine Tools Engineering Exhibition (ACMEE), which was organized by Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacturers Association and AIEMA Technology Centre.

The event is considered to give way to domestic and international automobile and engineering industries. The event welcomed more than 50,000 manufacturers, importers, and exporters, from both India and abroad.

“Tamil Nadu has become a target for the automobile hub. For example, if you see name any cars, BMW, Hyundai, Ford, Renault Nissan all are here, and there are a lot of people coming in. So keeping that in mind, the requirement is so huge that we as an industry are more focusing to this auto components sector,” said M. V. Robert, Convenor of ACMEE.

Indian manufacturing machineries are being exported to many countries including USA, Germany, Korea, Italy, and Spain. The exhibition was expected to earn about Rs 400 million.

“We are here to promote our machines and the companies that this is what quality is, So we can provide them that source,” said Ashwani Behl, President of Janaksons International.

The foreign companies feel that the Indian market will prove beneficial over the next two to three years. (ANI)
