UK Energy Secretary Huhne’s secret double love life revealed

LONDON - British Energy Secretary Chris Huhne is leaving his wife of 26 years after confessing to an affair, the News of the World can reveal.uhne, 55, has been enjoying secret trysts with his mistress Carina Trimingham, 44, at the family’s constituency home in Hampshire for more than a year.hey spent the night together there on Friday.
Last night the Lib Dem Cabinet minister told us: “I am in a serious relationship with Carina and I am separating from my wife.”
Single Carina, 44, is Campaigns Director of the Electoral Reform Society, a cause dear to Lib Dem hearts.
Huhne - named by Premier David Cameron as the 10th most powerful man in the Cabinet - has been meeting her on Friday nights at his constituency house in Eastleigh, Hampshire, while loyal wife Vicky stayed at the family’s south London home.
Deputy PM and party leader Nick Clegg was unaware of Huhne’s muddled private life until he was informed in a phone call last night.
It is the second time a Lib Dem Cabinet minister has been forced to publicly admit to a secret relationship since the coalition government was formed only 39 days ago.
