ISLAMABAD - In yet another incident showcasing the Taliban style of justice, an alleged murdered was executed in public in the volatile North Waziristan.
According to reports, 28-year old Wahid Khan was shot dead in front of over 200 people in Dattakhel tehsil of North Waziristan for allegedly killing a tribesman earlier this month.
“They (Taliban) fired three bullets in his chest,” The Daily Times quotes an eyewitness, as saying.
This was the second such instance in the region in less than a month.
The Taliban controls a large part of tribal region across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border and has enforced a strict form of Islamic law called ’sharia’ in the region, and often carry out such public executions. (ANI)
