ISLAMABAD - The Foreign Secretaries of both India and Pakistan would hold a meeting here on June 24 to discuss the modalities for bridging the existing trust deficit and decide issues for the upcoming talks between the Foreign Ministers of both countries.

Earlier, Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao’s visit to Islamabad was scheduled for June 26, but her programme was changed as the dates clashed with her visit to Canada for the G-20 summit, The Dawn reports.

The two foreign secretaries are expected to discuss proposals for overcoming mistrust and reviving the peace talks, which were discontinued after the November 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

It may be noted that Foreign Minister SM Krishna is likely to meet his Pakistani counterpart Mehmood Shah Qureshi on July 15 in Islamabad. (ANI)
