AHMEDABAD - Booksellers in Ahmedabad have taken to book renting as a means of augmenting their income.

Established booksellers are offering students the option of renting used books, rather than buying new ones.

Parents and students of schools and colleges also agree that, this concept is useful for children.

Several students said they were happy with the rent.

“All standards of books are available here and the price less. We can also rent books from here at a low price. We are happy,” said Bhakti, a student.

“We charge prices at market rates and we return 40 percent when the student returns the books. That’s why students get books at a low price here, which is beneficial for them,” said Anil Gandhi, a bookseller. By Uday Adhwaryu (ANI)
