New Jersey state trooper shot on highway ramp
WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A New Jersey state trooper has been shot on a highway ramp.
Gov. Chris Christie’s spokesman Michael Drewniak confirmed the shooting. There’s no word on the trooper’s condition. State police say they cannot immediately release any information.
It happened near a Garden State Parkway exit in Wall Township, in central New Jersey.
State troopers are walking in the woods along the parkway. What appears to be an unmarked police vehicle has been cordoned off with crime scene tape.
