Narendra Modi blames Congress for development of Maoist ideology

PATNA - Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday alleged that the Maoist ideology developed in the country due to the bad economic policies of the Congress led governments.

Addressing the Rashtriya Swabhiman Rally here Modi said the bad economic policies of the congress increased economic gaps in the society.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized the rally at the end of its two day National Executive Committee meeting. It also chose to launch party campaign for upcoming assembly polls in the state.

Modi said: ” If we had a good economic policy and stability in society, we would not have had such problems.”

He also expressed concern over the killing innocent people by Maoists.

“Hundreds of innocent civilians are losing their life because of the Maoist violence; the Central Government has no concern about security,” Modi said. e said that primary need for the people is security “than property and money.”

Modi said it is only BJP, which can provide better security to people and pointed out that development can reach target groups only when there is better security atmosphere.

Modi also criticized Congress Party for non-implementation of 20-point programme initiated by then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

“Today, the BJP led Governments are working hard to implement the 20 points programme, but not the Congress led state Governments.

We are working hard to make sure that all poor people get food and shelter,” he said. (ANI)
