Ahmedabad airport security beefed up after terror alert

AHMEDABAD - Security at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport here was beefed up following a terror alert on Friday.

The Union Home Ministry alerted the Gujarat Government about intelligence inputs on a possible terror strike at the airport.

Security was beefed up as a precautionary measure.

Airport security personnel were instructed in scanning passengers.

Personnel were instructed to report people with suspicious behaviour.

Airport officials described it as a routine exercise. (ANI)
