CPI Aerostructures gets $1.2M contract

EDGEWOOD, N.Y. — CPI Aerostructures Inc. said Thursday that it received a $1.2 million contract from Sikorsky Aerospace Services under which it will supply electromechanical devices for the MH-53E “Sea Dragon” helicopter.

CPI plans to start delivery of the assemblies late this year.

Sikorsky Aerospace is a unit of Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., which is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp.

CPI shares rose 11 cents to $8.88 in afternoon trading, while shares of United Technologies Corp. rose $1.41 to $64.83.
