Indian woman murdered in New Zealand, police search for toddler on

NORTH ISLAND - A 23-year-old Indian man, who has been accused for the murder of a 32-year-old woman, has been remanded to reappear in the Tauranga District Court on June 10.he woman, also believed to be an Indian, was found dead in a house in Otumoetai, a Tauranga suburb, on Sunday evening, and now police are searching for her 18-month-old daughter Anna Sangha.

The man was asked to reappear by the Manukau District Court.

Western Bay of Plenty Area Commander Inspector Mike Clement is asking all residents around Otumoetai to search their properties for any sign of the toddler.

“We also can’t rule out the possibility that Anna may be being looked after by friends or relatives, and if so, we ask them to contact us urgently.”

The dead woman’s name is not being released until family overseas have been informed of her death. (ANI)
