Big 12 changes could leave out forgotten 4
LAWRENCE, Kan. — The landscape of the Big 12 shuffle has been as firm as morning oatmeal, yet there’s speculation that up to eight teams may leave the conference.
If this Big 12 big bang does happen, what happens to the forgotten four?
Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State and Baylor seem to be the only four schools in the conference not drawing much interest from other conferences.
The four schools aren’t football powers and don’t come from highly populated areas, making them less-than-exciting programs for conferences looking to expand.
If they do get left out, there could be few options, from inviting other schools to join the scraps of the Big 12 to joining less prestigious, less revenue-generating conferences.
