Hello, sailor! NY bus driver finds her mystery man
NEW YORK — A New York City bus driver has found her mystery sailor. She’s also found out that he’s married.
Yvonne Farrington was on her way to work Friday when she noticed the sailor with the “most beautiful smile” in town for Fleet Week. He had his picture taken with her before vanishing.
With the help of Navy officials and WINS Radio, Farrington and Larry Chester were reunited Tuesday.
The divorcee says she wasn’t disappointed to learn that Chester has a wife and three children in Cambridge, Md.
As she puts it: “There is a happy woman out there.”
The two posed for pictures near the USS Iwo Jima, on which Chester serves. Before they parted, Farrington kissed Chester’s cheek.
